- What to Bring: Bring sunscreen, snacks, lunch, beverages, a hat, and sunglasses. Shoes that are rubber soled, or deck shoes work well. No black soled shoes. A long sleeve could be nice to bring as it can be chilly on the way out to the fishing grounds. Alcohol is allowed, beer / wine only for the ride home. No glass containers please. If the Captain deems a charter guest to be unsafe the charter is over and no refunds.
- Gear: We provide bait, ice, and rods as well as hooks and leader. Feel free to bring your own gear. We recommend bringing your own jig heads and gulp, or any other special tackle. We are not responsible for your personal gear that may break or get lost in the deep.
- Seasickness Prevention: If you are prone to seasickness, consult with your physician for recommendations. Avoiding alcohol the night before also helps reduce the chances of motion sickness. We leave it up to our clients if they would like to return early in the case someone is not feeling well.
- Fish Cleaning: Available at Hook ’em & Cook ’em, with charges by weight of catch and tipping is customary.
- Conduct: Safety is our priority. The captain has the right to terminate the charter if guests disregard instructions or engage in unsafe behavior. This is a drug free vessel.
- Weather: The captain may adjust plans or end the charter early for safety reasons. We will do our best and work with mother nature to get what we can in your charter. We will work with you for a reschedule as well.
Payment: A 20% deposit is due the day of the booking. Electronic deposits accepted and cash preferred for remaining balance due upon boarding. Cancellations must be made 24hrs in advance of departure time, otherwise deposit is non-refundable. Gratuity and tips for your mate are customary (15%-20%) at the conclusion of the charter.
The Day Before: The captain will reach out to confirm your trip and discuss weather conditions the day before. We’re excited to help you make lasting fishing and sunset/cruise memories!
***Please mention if child life vests are needed on your phone call with the captain. Children 13 and under are required to wear life vests.
The Day Of the Charter: When parking at Indian River Marina be sure to park in unmarked spots, not slipholder spots. Sea Dog is in slip B14. Look for Dockside Restaurant at the marina and walk down the ramp then turn left. B dock is your first right. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
